It should be first noted that the Mass is the most important prayer we have. It is possible to think of the Mass as both one prayer and as a related series of many prayers. This book explains the Mass as the one great sacrifice of Jesus, as well as all of the many small prayers that comprise the different parts of the Mass.  The book is short, 135 pages, but of sufficient length to cover the entire Mass, including a very nice section explaining the meaning The Lords Prayer within the context of the Mass.

I do not posses the vocabulary to explain how important, educational and significant this book is.  The author has done such a tremendous job in explaining the Mass in terms simple enough that anyone should be able to understand. The big question with this book is not “is the Mass understandable ?”, but do you really and truly “believe” in what happens at Mass?
